What is Mole Mapping
Our full body mole mapping and dermoscopy services use advanced FotoFinder technology to provide a comprehensive skin examination. This technology allows us to take high-resolution images of your entire body, which helps in tracking and analyzing moles and other skin lesions over time.
Total Body Mapping with FotoFinder
We systematically take photographs of almost the entire skin surface using FotoFinder ATBM technology to create a high-resolution “body map” of your skin lesions. The entire process takes just a few minutes and is non-invasive.
We also take highly magnified images of certain individual lesions using the specialized dermoscopy attachment.
This comprehensive set of images can help the dermatologist with the identification of skin lesions of concern or identify new skin findings.
We evaluate your images instantly during your skin check visit, identify any lesions of concern, and decide on the next steps to provide the best possible care for you
Dermoscopy
In addition to total body mapping, we use a special dermatoscope to take highly magnified images of individual lesions.
Dermoscopy allows your dermatologist to see more details of a lesion than with the naked eye.
Comparing these skin microscopy images over the course of time can help your dermatologist to identify changes already at a very early stage.
